Google Settlement Roundtable @ GW Law
On Wednesday, June 15th, the George Washington University Law School will host a program entitled “Can the Google Book Settlement Be Fixed?: A Roundtable Discussion Among Experts” which focuses on the rejection of a proposed settlement by United States District Judge for Second Circuit Denny Chin in a lawsuit alleging that Google’s digitization of books violated copyright laws. The roundtable discussion will explore the various options for modifying the settlement to address the objections of the plaintiffs while retaining the benefits to Internet users that Google’s digitization project could produce.
