Federal Rules Want to Be Free!
Looking for a free, high-quality e-book version of the federal rules of criminal procedure, civil procedure, or evidence? The Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) and Cornell’s Legal Information Institute have made all three available for free in both “mobi” and “epub” formats, so you can download them to your computer, mobile device, Nook, Kindle, etc. The rules are current as of December 10, 2010, and include all of the Advisory Committee notes. To find out more, go to http://elangdell.cali.org.
GW Law School is a CALI member, so GW Law students can also register for the CALI website and test their knowledge of the federal rules using interactive lessons on evidence, civil procedure, criminal procedure, and dozens of other areas of law. Current GW Law students can get the registration code for the CALI website from the Law Library’s Reference Desk or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
