OK, to clarify, the question is about updating your library record with the barcode on your GWID card.

Not Sure?

Well, if you’ve never checked out a library book or requested an interlibrary loan, you may not have had your barcode scanned into your record.

If not, stop by the circulation desk to update your record with your barcode. By getting your barcode scanned into your record, you’ll be able to take advantage of additional, as in premium, library services. These services include:

  • checking your circulation record online;
  • using interlibrary loan services for requesting books or articles from another library that are not available here or at Gelman;
  • saving your search of the library catalog; and,
  • most importantly, performing online research whenever and wherever you like with off-campus access to our subscription databases.

It takes less than a minute to update your barcode, so stop by and get scanned.
