Taking the Blues Out of the Bluebook–Advanced, Sat., Feb. 4, 11am-Noon, in L301
Attend this library research skills training session in legal citation if you are already familiar with the basic organization and use of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, 19th edition. At the close of the session, you will have a better understanding of the Bluebook beyond the basic citation forms. In the advanced session, librarians will discuss signals and parentheticals and teach you how to construct citations for legislative documents, administrative law sources, electronic resources and foreign and international legal materials.
Students with little or no experience with the Bluebook or those who would like a refresher course on basic legal citation of cases, statutes, and secondary sources should attend the basic session at 10:00am. You may attend both sessions.
