Oral Argument on Health Care Reform

On March 26-28, the Supreme Court will hear oral argument in the consolidated cases challenging the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (amended by the Health Care and Reconciliation Act of 2010).  The Court announced that oral arguments will not be televised, but audio recordings and transcripts will be available at the close of the day at the Supreme Court’s website.

On Monday, March 26, the Court will hear arguments on jurisdiction and whether the federal Anti-Injunction Act applies.  On Tuesday, March 27, it will hear arguments on the constitutionality of the individual mandates to purchase health insurance.  On Wednesday, March 28, the Court will hear arguments on the issue of severability of claims and the expansion of  Medicaid.  View the argument schedule here.
