AALL Annual Meeting
The American Association of Law Libraries, founded in 1906 at a meeting of the American Library Association, will hold its annual meeting in Boston beginning July 21. AALL has approximately 4800 members, representing all types of organizations and interests in law librarianship.
Our librarians are active members of AALL–from less than one year to over 30 years of service! We serve on committees, chair special interest sections and plan programs.
A few of our librarians are speaking and/or moderating programs this year at the meeting:
Scott Pagel, Director of the Law Library, is speaking at the Workshop for Newer Academic Law Library Directors; he will be participating in a panel focusing on career growth and balance.
Karen Wahl, Reference/Legal History & Rare Books Librarian, and Larry Ross, Head of Instructional & Media Services, are moderating and presenting “The Law of the Salem Witch Trials.”
Jennie Meade, Director of Special Collections, is moderating “‘Digging’ Legal History in Boston: The Case of the Boston Strangler,” with Prof. James Starrs as the featured speaker.
